Elderberry Syrup Mix

An old-fashioned elderberry syrup made right in your own kitchen.

Our Elderberry Syrup Mix takes the measuring and guesswork out of making homemade elderberry syrup. Each bag is filled with a thoughtfully blended combination of dried elderberries, echinacea root, rosehips, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves—just add water, simmer, strain, and sweeten with your favorite honey.

Elderberry has a long history of traditional use during the colder months and is the heart of this blend. Echinacea and rosehips round out the herbal formula, while ginger, cinnamon, and cloves give the finished syrup its warm, spiced flavor.

Keep a batch in the refrigerator during cold-weather season or make it whenever you want a simple, traditional herbal syrup for the whole family.

Ingredients: Dried elderberries, dried ginger root, dried echinacea root, dried rosehips, cinnamon chips & whole cloves.

To Make: Add the contents of the bag to 6 cups water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and gently simmer uncovered until the liquid has reduced by approximately half. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 15–20 minutes. Strain well, pressing the herbs to extract as much liquid as possible. Once the liquid has cooled to warm—not hot—stir in raw honey to taste.

Transfer to a clean glass jar, cover, and refrigerate.

You Will Need: 6 cups water + raw honey.

Storage: Keep refrigerated after preparing.
